Chalicers - Lay Readers

The ministry of Chalicers and Lay Readers is a rewarding and fulfilling one.  It is a privilege to be able to assist the Clergy in the Eucharist.  To lead the congregation in the lessons is also very satisfying.  Chalicers are licensed by the Bishop to serve for a term of 3 years.  They assist at Sunday Eucharist as well as weddings and funerals.

Lay Readers do not require licensure and read the lessons and lead the psalms.  Prayers of the People are read fromt he congregation.
