Parish Life This has been another busy year for the parish life committee. We celebrated 12th Night on January 6. Martin Feder, last years' King, relinquished his crown to the new Queen, Carol Samuelson. Nancy Pike provided wonderful decorations for our Mardi Gras party on Shrove Tuesday. The Parish Picnic will be held at the home of Tom and Sally Wilson on May 19th at 10:30 a.m. Eucharist begins at 10:30 followed by hamburgers, hot dogs and many side dishes and desserts. Games for the kids and the annual Parents vs Kids softball game. In June we retuirn to Delaware for a Wilmington Blue Rocks game, organized by Millie & Harvey Corbett. Tickets are still available. Contact Millie or Harvey for more info The Parish Life Committee takes a break until September with the beginning of the Church year and the 5 K run/walk. This will be the second year of this event. Last year was a great success and the money raised was given to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Chester County. In October we will have the Annual Parish Dinner. This event is always a sellout, with exceptional food and wine. In November we will once again have our Chili-Cook-off judged by local chefs in West Chester. and the Christmas Party in December is always a favorite with children both young and old. A visit from Santa is the end to this joyful night. Our two ongoing ministries continue each Sunday(except for the summer months) with the Parish Breakfast every Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and Coffee Hour following the 10:30 service. We look forward to another active year at Holy Trinity and invite any interested persons to join Parish Life, and help keep our fellow churchgoers appropriately well fed, caffeined up, wined and dined, and otherwise happy & content. |
